Poetry is not for old people

Poetry is not for old people.

Poetry is not obsolete.

Poetry is a current language; it is a torrent that breaks every bank and overwhelms your feelings.

The best birthday present today: the poem of my son Maximilian (14 years old) for me.

My nestHard to thinkhow much time has passed, when you welcomed me as a childand you left me in the world.A little fadedit's my memoryof the warm fabricthat cradled me.I think about thisbut I see white, maybe it's nothingor maybe it's a lot. When I see youI see my nest, branches that protect, roots that support.I remember little, but that's enough,I show less, but I try so hard.
